I work in a nursery and we have been using them for years!

I decided to get my own because everyone wants to take them home so they don't end up with crappy ones! tends to fall. I'd say if you're using this leash for training purposes and you actually use a stopper (I call it that because I'm not sure if that's the right term) the "stopper" will loosen over time, but keep in mind that it has to do with hours of daily use and leaving the leashes outdoors so it may be different for those who use it as a training tool.
