Review on 🚚 CURT 114873 Class 1 Trailer Hitch with Ball Mount for Scion xB - 1-1/4-In Receiver - High-Quality Fit by Dan Davis

The clutch arrived today and I wanted to install it immediately. I am a mechanical engineer and am familiar with commercial systems and machines. I build hot rods as a hobby, weld and do lots of things etc. I've seen a few people say the holes didn't match their XB but I thought maybe it was almost the same. The installation time is given as 30 minutes for amateurs and 15 minutes for shops. I had 30 minutes and I can usually beat the store's time. I burned my half hour and the tow hitch is on the ground next to the car. 15 minutes is achievable if you have a grinder or grinder willing to modify this clutch to fit. Tomorrow I'm going to take a grinder to this thing to get it about 1/4" wide so I can get the screws into the holes on the XB. Not at all happy. The tape measure would have told them not to send it, let alone the pass/unpass device.When I tried to do this work it seemed wrong to have the washer over the hitch in the position advertised.I will know tomorrow.I want to add photos to show what with I have to do.
