Review on πŸ”Œ Daystar KU71124BK: Universal OBD II Port Plug - Preserve Tune on Diesel, Gas & Custom Tuned Rides - Black (Made in USA) by Brandon Perkins

It's expensive but necessary.

I never thought that a faulty OBD2 could render a car uncontrollable or unusable. It happens to me and I learned it the hard way. According to US federal law, the driver must easily get to the port. The port allows you to connect a scan tool or anything else that is OBD II compliant and you can then get information about the vehicle. In fact, many automakers ignore the law and place the OBD2 connector in places that are hard to see and difficult to reach unless you kneel on the ground and raise your head over the brake pedal near the firewall (Audi A4 quattro ) or above the gas pedal near the center consoles (Chrysler Sebring CoupΓ©). In fact, the emission testers and Chrysler people abused the dialer and damaged the OBD2 connector beyond repair. Therefore, I was not able to activate the duplicate transponder key and pass the AU exam. I was forced to replace the OBD2 connector on my Chrysler (very expensive) and since then I have not let anyone destroy my OBD2 connector again. I bought "1.5m OBD-II OBD2 16 Pin Automotive Male to Female Automotive Extension Cable Diagnostic Extension Cable Adapter". If they destroy the OBD-II OBD2 16 Pin Car Male to Female Car Extension Cable Diagnostic Extension Adapter, the damage can not be more than $7 to replace it by yourself. The last thing you need is an OBD2 port cover and the nightmare I went through will never happen again.
