An acceptable portrait lens that is nearly perfect, but not ubiquitous, on crop matrices you may encounter during your shooting. The focal length varies. I'd say this lens is fine if you just require a camera a few times a year. It has a silent motor, quick focusing, and produces bright, high-quality images. Any camera with a lens costing more than $30,000 ought to be set up to automatically shoot in such a way that even the thought of editing the pictures is eliminated before the shutter is released. Otherwise, photography, etc. is a dark forest.
