I love salads, but I don't mind the mess that can result from eating large leafy lettuce, so sliced lettuce is a great choice. This little tool does a fantastic job. Simply combine the salad ingredients in a sturdy bowl, then squeeze the chopper a few times until you reach your desired consistency. It cuts lettuce, olives, beans, grapefruit, just about anything in a salad. I would suggest adding the dressing before slicing, which seems to make the chopping process easier. Overall, this was a great purchase and one of those rare kitchen gadgets that I use on a regular basis.
