Filter used up in 6 weeks. It is not possible to unscrew the base to replace the filter.
The taste of water deteriorates after less than 2 months of use. They must be screwed to the base at the factory after the original filter has been installed. I just spent 10 minutes using wrenches to get it off and it wouldn't budge. The instructions acknowledge that this can be a problem and say something along the lines of "if it sticks, try more". If that doesn't help, try with two people. If that doesn't work, you may not be able to remove it and will need to mail it to us. Try a recognizable brand next time, or just buy a reverse osmosis unit and stop spending money on a temporary semi-finished product. Solutions.
