I've had smart sockets and lightbulbs for a long time and this was my second "built-in" smart element - the first was a smart ceiling fan. They replaced a really cheap and ugly ceiling light and were square in shape to light up the counter next to my stove as well as the island across from that counter. Indeed, an ugly lamp lit the island, but as I stood at the main counter next to the stove, my own shadow disturbed me. With these 6 inch recessed lights I no longer have to look at that cheap ugly light and easily found it in SmartLife which includes most of my plugs, lightbulbs and smart ceiling fans. These lights were added to Alexa as soon as they were discovered in SmartLife and I'm so happy - it's so liberating to be able to control lights, fixtures and fans with your voice! 8:30), start the ceiling fan (slow, fast, light on/off) with my voice - I LOVE IT! These recessed lights look amazing, I can almost do night lighting so I can still see but not bright late at night say "Alexa, change your kitchen lights to purple" and the purple hue softens the light just right! Definitely, if you are going smart home too and want recessed lights everywhere in your house, these are perfect for the job.
