In general the finish of the product is good, the color is consistent and goes well with the strokes. Antenna and adapter were fine, there were no problems. That being said, I have installed many aftermarket stereos and this kit required the most modifications to fit properly. The nuts that secure the new part to the dash require significant and constant downward pressure to keep them from loosening. As soon as I realized that everything was fine. Attach something cloth wrapped to the front of the new part as it will be recessed into the dash. You can't apply enough pressure with your hands alone. The biggest issues are the mounts for the HVAC controls and the 4WD/storage bag. First, all of the driver-side mounting posts are too far away to install screws and there is no side-to-side play. The only solution is to extend all the mounting holes in the controls outwards, including the hole for the mounting post. This allows you to easily move to the driver's side and install all of the mounting bolts. Second, the 4WD mounting posts/storage bag are too tall. The part was too far from the dashboard, even close to where it was originally installed. You'll need to file them shorter and also lengthen the mounting holes to make them look decent. Finally, the holes that the mounting screws go into are very tight. A good trick is to rub a small amount of bar soap on the screw before attempting to install it. This prevents the screw from seizing when screwed in. However, one of the posts shared. I would not use oil for this work. I don't have a good recommendation for an alternative kit, but unless you know how to work with a file I'd look elsewhere.
