I have a Sears Craftsman garage door opener with a red learn button. When I received the Liftmaster 971M remote control, I read the instructions that came with it. Remote control. When I programmed the console, the instructions on the GDO engine seemed the same, so I followed them. It was difficult to hold the paper instructions and remote control while standing at the top of the stairs. Liftmaster Remote was not working after following GDO instructions. So I asked for a refund from Revain. Later that night I found that neither our other remotes nor the keyless entry were working. :(I tried to program one of my current remotes and it finally worked. Yay. However, when I tried to program the second remote, the first one stopped working, so I was only able to program one remote at a time. :(Have I've researched on the internet and found this solution: don't press and hold the learn button, this will clear the code for a few minutes (mind you, my learn button is red), carefully climb the stairs as you'll have your hands full. Press the learn button " and quickly release it. Press the transmit button on the first remote. try to press the button QUICKLY learn. That's what the original instructions said. DUH! Had I read the manuals that came with the opener, I would have I can save myself a lot of heartache. The technique for opening a garage door is quite complex and the steps that need to be followed must be correct n. but I think their solution would be to sell me all the new consoles and maybe a new GDO. So I'm happy with the remote and the company for the quick response to my email about Revain.
