This adapter is as good as any USB adapter I've used or better. The Net-Dyn AC1200 WiFi adapter uses a Realtek 8812BU controller/chip, which is an 802.11 AC device. Netsh wlan also shows that it is an AC device (see attached image). I downloaded the latest driver/software from Net-Dyn, installed it and was up and running within minutes (although the connector was recognized on my Win10 system with no driver/software installed). After running several bandwidth tests and checking signal strength from various locations in and around my home, I can say that both exceeded all expectations. and dual antennas. None of these adapters beat Net-Dyn in terms of signal strength, reception speed, range or bandwidth. I've been using the adapter for almost a month without incident: no connection problems, no connection drops or obvious adapter-related slowdowns. The only ring (let's say half a star) is the Net-Dyn cap. It's almost useless. It doesn't fit properly and falls off very easily. So if you're traveling with an adapter in your bag, be sure to secure the cap with a rubber band. Stupid I know, but here it is.
