Units worked as advertised

I ordered one of these units 3 years ago for a customer who lost wifi on their laptop. It worked great for them so I ordered this version when I wanted some of my computers to run at 5GHz. The first computer I installed the driver on was supposed to run at 5GHz but never did. After installing the driver for this wireless adapter, the computer suddenly began to work in the 5 GHz band. I ended up moving the adapter to an older computer. Doubled the download speed on this 9-10 year old computer…

Definitely not 802.11ac

This "802.11ac" Wi-Fi adapter only has an 802.11n radio! What a brazen lie! Don't get me wrong, it works on your 5GHz network, but the connection type is 802.11n. Do not believe me? If you are unlucky and have already bought this then: 1. Click on the Start button and type in CMD. 2. Right-click on Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator". 3. Excellent signal strength, range and bandwidth

This adapter is as good as any USB adapter I've used or better. The Net-Dyn AC1200 WiFi adapter uses a Realtek 8812BU controller/chip, which is an 802.11 AC device. Netsh wlan also shows that it is an AC device (see attached image). I downloaded the latest driver/software from Net-Dyn, installed it and was up and running within minutes (although the connector was recognized on my Win10 system with no driver/software installed). The NET-DYN AC1200 dual-band wireless adapter works flawlessly.

I hesitated to consider this particular item because I wanted to give it at least a good week's use. So far, this NET-DYN AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Adapter has been flawless. Half a year old HP laptop with Windows 10. I've always had problems with the Wi-Fi connection in Windows. I know it's not a laptop because my wired connection works fine. The Windows Wi-Fi network is just terrible. Sometimes it's so bad that I couldn't work with WiFi at all. I would have to use a wired connection all the time.

Received today and loved

Received today and loved but now disappointed. That does not work. I'm running Windows 7 on my HP desktop computer with an Intel i7 processor and USB 3.0 ports that I use for other devices. I tried opening the configuration utility after installing the drivers and utility and I followed their tiny guide, plugged it into my working USB 3.0 port which kept saying it was in a USB 3.0 port would run faster. Had trouble keeping stable connection - The company refunded me the money after the replacement didn't work either

Last update: After sending the replacement in, I was still having trouble with the replacement. I tested the adapter on my laptop and it worked better, but still didn't deliver the speed I expected. It doesn't seem to be compatible with my desktop hardware/drivers. NET-DYN support eventually gave me a refund as I couldn't get their device to work well with my systems so I upgraded my rating to 5 stars due to their excellent support.
