Review on πŸ”Œ NET-DYN USB Wireless WiFi Adapter: AC1200 Dual Band - Boost Your Internet Speed and Eliminate Buffering on PC/Mac, Desktop/Laptop by Wesley Bell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Had trouble keeping stable connection - The company refunded me the money after the replacement didn't work either

Last update: After sending the replacement in, I was still having trouble with the replacement. I tested the adapter on my laptop and it worked better, but still didn't deliver the speed I expected. It doesn't seem to be compatible with my desktop hardware/drivers. NET-DYN support eventually gave me a refund as I couldn't get their device to work well with my systems so I upgraded my rating to 5 stars due to their excellent support. I give this two stars because it really is. Allow me to connect to the internet regularly. When I bought it I needed something to at least do research with and keep in touch with the company I work for as the wiring in our apartment was faulty and my cable modem wouldn't work in my office. This device does not provide a reliable, persistent connection. It does not work for video streaming or online gaming. I thought it was my apartment wifi as there was a lot of interference. Even my laptop struggled to maintain full speed with the built-in Wi-Fi adapter. After moving to a house where there is very little interference, my laptop's WiFi works fine, I found that the NET-DYN adapter is defective and usually loses the WiFi signal. 5 GHz on NET-DYN delivers download speeds of 32.61 Mbps and upload speeds of 14.92 Mbps when running. For comparison, my laptop's Wi-Fi adapter delivers 223.87 Mbps download speed and 16.80 Mbps upload speed. Update: My 5GHz connection now has very poor dial-up speed. I'm lucky if I can browse websites at all. The 2.4GHz connection I'm using causes the device to reboot and then Windows 10 gives a message that it can't connect to this network. I have no problem on my laptop with its internal adapter in the same room.

Cons
  • No work
