Come on. I could have bought a set of three calipers for just $2 more. But I knew that all of these much (much) better deals were being made with foreign vendors who would somehow get the blueprints for the products and then start making them for pennies on the dollar. I didn't want to buy from them. bit the bullet and paid for a set of Kemper calipers that I could have paid for three. I did this as I thought the Kemper would be more reliable and of course the much higher price of this one item would come with better quality or more reasonable quality assurance. But no! No no no. I mean this topic. a sixth grader could have made something far more impressive out of cardboard. The craftsmanship just doesn't exist here. The finish on the calipers is an old, dusty, fully scratched gray, not the polished green you're shown. And the edges of the calipers? All uneven, like someone hand carved them with scissors and didn't bother sanding them down. Worse, the calipers have a fair amount of play even when you tighten the nut to secure them. Come on. I mean, these things cost Kemper a whole dollar from start to finish, and they sell them for ten times the price, and they don't care that the product is a) presentable and b) usable? ! Okay, Kemper, okay. I understand. I made the mistake of giving you more money for the same item that ten foreign sellers sold for a lot less. I was misled into thinking that your high price comes with high quality. I was wrong. And now I know. Should foreign sellers be avoided? Well, why? So I can buy shit I can't use for a ridiculous price? If you can't even make sure that the quality of your product matches the high markup on your product, why should your well-meaning customers bother giving you their money instead of giving it to someone else doing the same? ? much less shit? I have tried. I meant well. I wanted to give my money to a really big brand and said I would do it even if the really big brand charged a lot more. But now I don't do it anymore.
