Update: The system is not designed to operate with hard water in Las Vegas which resulted in the filters failing after a few months. The seller refunded the money in full. My previous review after initial installation: I drink cool water from the fridge that is filtered but does not remove fluoride. When the tops of my plant turned yellow, indicating the presence of fluoride, I became concerned that our public water had been overdosed. So I installed this product with a 0.5 micron filter and replaced it with this 0.1 micron filter. Installation of both the unit and the replacement filter was very easy. When the cold water faucet was turned on immediately after installation, the water was milky in color but eventually cleared. I've had filters that were cloudy when first replaced. So it was none of my business. I don't care about the taste but I've found that it filters out the sediment I use to power my portable swamp cooler. This means that I no longer ingest these particles. So I ordered another one to filter the water supply to my main sump cooler which looks nasty with sediment build up and therefore takes a long time to clean. Monitoring this system will provide visual evidence that I need to see what is happening to the faucet that is supplying my drinking water. I will update as soon as I know more.
