Review on STARVII Crampons Traction Stainless Mountaineering by John Jones

There appears to be a manufacturer in China that supplies these crampons to several resellers here at Revain. This creates a situation where the mole gets hit. I have two identical products from different sellers and they both failed in the same way - the double hook chain throughout the product keeps breaking. I would send them back, but apparently that time has passed. It is sad to see that such a product was allowed to oust production in the USA - Kahtoola Microspike. The original product has lasted me 10+ years for 5 rides if I'm lucky. Repair will give you several times, but unfortunately other double links will not work then. All in all, all of this can rob you of the connection you've been looking for.
