While this is a perfect tea clock, it is prone to defects. The timer itself has the right combination: 3 minutes for white and green; 4 minutes for herbs, black and oolong; 5 minutes for Pu Erh. I can't find another tea clock with such an accurate sequence, so it's worth the price. However, keep a close eye on the product for the first 30 days and use it often - make sure the sand doesn't get stuck during the cycle. Otherwise, you may not receive a defective item within the warranty period. Unfortunately I needed a replacement, but I really like the product and the idea.
