1-2 sizes bigger in my opinion
These swimming trunks are very cute but run small. I'm the size my son normally wears and he couldn't wear it above the waist. There is a rope that stretches but doesn't stretch much and doesn't give the torso. They are well made and I'm sure they will hold up well but I had to pass them on to my nephew.

- The material is excellent, my son had enough for the whole summer, next year I will order one size bigger.
