Advertisement says it's safe for all dogs. This has absolutely NO effect on my smallest or largest dog, which ranges from 6 to 65 pounds. It's super cheap, but the buttons are easy to press, the batteries still work, and the flash works - I gave it 2 stars for that, even though I didn't need a $19 flashlight. The reason I didn't return within 30 days was because I thought I had abused it. No it was not. My dogs keep barking. Since this was my second device, different functions and buttons, I decided to create my own system. What works is a small jar filled with rocks and I shake it which changes their focus and they stop barking. I wouldn't, but that's it again.
