Though it seems to do the job of keeping most of the water off of my heater, the material is very thin. Also, there is a draw string at the bottom which doesn't seem to help keep the cover on at all and actually makes it harder to put on. It zips all the way up so you'd think you can just sling the top part around the top of the heater and then zip it down but with the draw string on you either have to completely remove the slider or get on a ladder to loop the bottom of the cover around the top of the heater and slide it down. It's a poor design.
