Better than most single-sided scanners...

Definitely one of the best single-sided scanners I have ever used. At least for the price. Most scan tools under $200 are very limited. This scans ALL computers in the car and reports all existing and historical codes. You can then go to each computer and read/erase all codes. Most scan tools in this price range can run ECM, TCM and possibly BCM. This scans all existing computers. It also has real-time data transfer capability for any vehicle computer that supports it. In addition, you can view multiple sensors (A/F, O2, TPS, RPM, the list is long). If you just want to quickly remove some code from your engine, this is probably overkill. . But if you have a good idea of what you're doing and are trying to run a deeper diagnosis, this could be perfect for you. Aside from paying over $1,000 for a scan tool with duplex capability, this scanner seems perfect for MANY DIYers who know what they're doing. I've tried many "cheap" scanners over the years and so far this is by far the best. I haven't tried it either, but it has the ability to update via USB port and computer. So if you try to work with an unsupported vehicle in a few years, you "should" be able to go online with a regular computer via a USB connection and update the software for the latest supported vehicles. Bravo for building a decent scanner for under $200!
