I was struggling to work from home on my work laptop. I have bear paw hands and poor eyesight, so using a laptop keyboard and small screen for many hours every day was uncomfortable. My home setup has a good keyboard and huge screen. If only I could use the same keyboard and screen with my laptop? Discover this handy little device! I just bought a new desktop but my old desktop is still in use so I needed more than just a 2 port KVM. I ordered a 4 port VGA switch and it arrived quickly and well packaged. The manual covers many different models, the 4-port VGA was just one of them (on two pages). Setup was very easy. Connect "a" monitor, keyboard and mouse. Then use the included dedicated cables to connect them to different computer systems. I started with my latest desktop and work laptop. Two computers and BAM on! I stared at my "formerly tiny" laptop screen on my LARGE home monitor. Press the little selection button at the top and BAM! I looked at my new desktop with Windows 10. A day later I was able to connect my old desktop, and now as I hit the third select key, you guessed it. BAMM! I was looking at my old Windows 7 desktop. It's SO easy to switch between them. There may be a 2 second delay between pressing the button and the new desktop appearing. Couldn't be happier! Good . I think I could be a little bit happier. The supplied cables are a bit short. Only 4 feet long. I got them to work with my three computers, but an extra foot of cord would make things easier. The only other complaint/issue is just one of the design issues. The box itself is small (smaller than my average phone) which means you have something plugged in on each side. Makes cables a little messy. If the box were longer, with all the main connections on the "back" and the only monitor, keyboard and mouse on one end or the other, I could tuck the box a little further under the monitor and a small, black cable would go through the desktop . But I'm not deducting a star from the rating for the price. And actually I knew about it and bought it anyway because I expect that soon I'll be moving everything from the old desktop to the new one and then that cable can be removed. I bought one with 4 ports so I ended up only having two computers plugged into one side and NOTHING plugged into the two front ports. In any case. to sum up. It's only been three days, but working from home with a good keyboard and big monitor has made my life so much more comfortable. Too bad I didn't know anything about KVM switches in February! EDIT: It's been 45 days and this device is still awesome. No questions. I can easily switch between three devices
