Review on 🛢️ Spectra Premium NSP25A High-performance Oil Pan by Ben Boulanger

DO NOT BUY and here's why 2004 Nissan Frontier. Drove 300 km to work, changed oil and filter at the weekend. Mobile1 5-w30 Full Syn and Filter Mobile 1. On the way back from my trip I noticed the truck was running a little rough and then the oil gauge flickered as I pulled off the freeway. Stopped and found it with a hard tap of the valve, then shut it off. Towed it to a mechanic. Before he did anything I wanted to make sure it wasn't a clogged filter so I drained the oil and pulled out the filter. Metal-to-metal wear and near-total engine failure due to lack of oil. Is the filter clogged? NO. The filter was fine, apart from the incredible amount of SHEEN Metal oil in the mix. I opened up the pan and drained fresh oil after only 300 miles and now it's filled with metal particles. When I drained it at the last oil change it wasn't there. See IMAGE (this has been drawn 3 times to the size of a 25 cent coin. I took the pan to my mechanic and he immediately noticed a METALLIC SHINE on my oil and he just smiled and said to me "your oil is so shiny, me (Yes I) can give it a 4K for that as it would require a complete overhaul or a new engine.) Upon further investigation we found PAINT FLAKES on the bottom of the oil pan. Drained the cheap oil 3 times and it came out more and more My mechanic says I guarantee it's a Spectra sump. Of course I photographed the label on the bottom of the Spectra NSP25A. Said it happened to another customer. Oil pan from another car of the same make. Too expensive and not worth pulling the oil pan as you have to remove the transfer case and subframe. From what I can tell the flakes baked over the intake manifold filter and prevented oil from being sucked in and escaping, starving the engine and something was burned..then as I don't have the money to replace the whole engine plus other work that needs to be done such as the timing belt. /Water pump on a used engine. I'm looking for a new truck. I washed it 3 times and it still came out. The oil light is out but the engine runs like crap and the valve is still ticking. The oil now always comes out shiny metallic and grey. Thank you Spectra and your poorly made oil pans. I will definitely tell others. From Nissan Frontier and all other car forums.
