Review on Creative Sound BlasterX G5 7.1 HD Audio External Sound Card: Enhance Surround Sound on PC/Mac/PS4/Consoles by Nestor Orbita

I bought this to pair with my Sennheiser HD700. I play many FPS games like COD 4, Battlefield, CSGO, PUBG, Overwatch etc just to name a few. I wanted something that could control my headset and let me hear my enemies clearly so I bought these. I was eyeing the Sennheiser GSX1000 and this one but didn't want to pay the extra $80 so clicked on it and have no regrets. Small and portable, with a lightweight gaming look (nothing Razerish). It's plug and play and I downloaded software to change the sound profiles of the type of game I play. Now I can tell you that I would not recommend pre-made sound profiles for games. For example, in Black OPS 4, audio positioning and your enemies' audio position will be erased! The sound was terrible and I tried the Call of Duty sound profile along with the FPS profile and both were terrible. I turned it off and used the default tone and I was happy with that. I was able to spot enemy tracks along with position tracks. I gave the device a 5 star rating myself and didn't include the software as I didn't know the software and didn't want to use it anyway. I also have a JDS Labs OBJ/DAC and can say that my headphones sound better and clearer with the G5. JDS Labs cost me about $300 and I was able to get better sound reproduction with a $100 sound card/amp. I would highly recommend it to anyone whether you need it portable or stationary. I change my CPU/motherboard combo often so I don't need a sound card that I had to take out of the PCI slot, so this was the best solution for me. VICTORY GUARANTEED
