Recently bought this adapter. I downloaded and installed the necessary software from the manufacturer's website. Once the adapter was plugged in, it took a long time for Windows to recognize and install it. At first it seemed to work fine. I have a third monitor connected to my VGA port on my HP laptop. After a while this unfortunate thing happened. 1) My monitors (other than the laptop screen) turn off (monitors say no signal) and turn on again a few seconds later as if the adapter were charging. This resulted in all monitors having to be reconfigured through the Windows display console. This happened about every 40 minutes. Very annoying. 2) Some freezes on external monitors. +++Update: Not every 40 minutes, now every 5 minutes. The two screens flicker, then go off, come back after 2 seconds, then any applications that were open there before go back to the main laptop screen. +++ Update: Someone suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Tried this twice and tried on two different laptops. No, it didn't help, it keeps flickering. Maybe I have a bad block. +++ Update: Pluggable CS is nice to send me a pre-tested replacement and free shipping label to send back the one I have. I have to say that their CS is very good. My device didn't fit, maybe someone will. I hope you get a good block. The company sincerely wants to help its customers.
