Bought a 20" Trek bike for my niece but don't know why it doesn't include those simple screws to attach the bottle cage to the down tube or seat tube. My other niece did the A 24" bike doesn't have these bolts either. After stumbling across this cup holder adapter, I bought one for each bike and it securely attached to the handlebars of both bikes. I wanted to attach it to my bike's down tube but the tubes were too wide for this adapter. It comes with an Allen key which you will need to fit this adapter. As long as my nieces can carry alcohol on their bikes they are happy. I expect this to work well with round tubes measuring no more than 1 1/2 inches will work and I would recommend this adapter.
