First, as a beginner skateboarder, they're just great. The hybrid boot is very comfortable for kido, the glowing wheels are a coolness winner, the size adjustment is ingenious and works reliably, even the inferior bearings make it possible and can be retrofitted easily and cheaply. BUT, AND THIS IS A BIG BUT!, the carts are rigid and don't wobble! They can't flex at all, meaning they steer zero when flexing left or right. This is fine for a beginner, but severely limits very rapid progress. If that element were different, these skates would be absolute 5-star gold medal winners, especially with the expandable size! But be that as it may, the craftsmanship surpasses the skates even before the sizing comes into play. So I would recommend Chicago Skates and buy red hot wheels and bearings separately (which you can transfer to larger skates) and don't let yourself be limited, just use your imagination.
