Review on Sennheiser PC 8 2 Cancelling Microphone by Cheong Yon ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing unusual, normal product.

Took to work for conferences. The sound is good, I can hear everything, the interlocutors did not complain about the microphone. Plugged it in, it worked. It doesn't work after the weekend. I plugged it, everything works again, but a day later the situation repeated itself, I inserted it into another USB port and to this day everything works, maybe the problem is in the PC and ports. The microphone is loosely attached, it doesn't dangle, but it can be rotated very easily and without any resistance. well, very easily, right on the edge. I don’t know if this is a plus or a minus, but sometimes I notice that I am correcting the microphone, making it a little higher. Moreover, on a similar headset, a colleague's microphone is fixed better, resistance is felt when you adjust it. Those. build quality varies from model to model. The volume control is analog, when adjusted, the balance floats a little, then the left earpiece sounds slightly louder, then the right one, you have to catch the position when the volume level is the same. The microphone enable switch works with a click "on the air", i. E. turn it on, everyone hears a click, turn it off, all interlocutors hear a click. In general, three. I took a one-ear plantronics to replace it, in which the cable sheath in the area of the control unit has slightly peeled off over 4 years and which tightly integrated with Skype for Business, making it difficult to work with other applications. I liked plantronics more.

Pros
  • The speech quality of the interlocutors is heard well. The sound is not completely reduced, you always understand that there is sound and you just need to make it louder.
Cons
  • The microphone fixation is weak. When adjusting the volume, the balance floats. Click "on the air" when you turn on, turn off the microphone.
