This is my first telescope. It was very easy to put together and came with a vinyl bag and some extra parts. The bottom is made entirely of aluminum and is very light. Easy to lift and move. The telescope is also easy to rotate and move. There is a long handle to move so you can have a light touch. There are 3 lenses that allow you to adjust the clarity of the object you want to see. We had a lot of fun watching birds during the day and enjoying the full moon in the night sky. This is not a $1,000 device. The moon still looks very far away, wavy and blurry. If you're not willing to invest in a quality tool, this is about as good as you would expect. And frankly great for kids and they learn how to use it and gain confidence. It folds small, neat and portable.
