This controller started normally. Building a RAID 1 array with 2 x 3TB HGST hard drives. Transferring files and a few VMs to an array. Worked great for about 4 days, after which the array failed. Neither drive was bad, only the mirror broke. Check disk manager, both disks are recognized. In Explorer, however, they had completely different content. One drive had all of the transferred content, but the other drive had almost no data. Keep in mind these drives have had over 4 days to fully sync and I haven't heard any drive activity. I moved all data off the hard drives to rebuild the array. I removed one of the arrays that showed up in the management program and freed up the disk. Then tries to restore the array. At this point, the controller disappeared from the management utility. It still showed up in device management, but the utility couldn't see it anymore. Rebooted and trying to connect to the controller while fasting. Blocked the computer. Stay away from this garbage. The price might be attractive, but it's not worth the potential data loss. Oh, and it will install Apache so you can manage the RAID controller. trash trash trash.
