Review on πŸ“ž AT&T Marathon DECT 6.0: Wireless Office Headset & Cordless Telephone Combo by Kurt Ferguson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Incredibly fragile! A critical part of the charger broke within 24 hours of installation!

I really wanted to give this product 5 stars for the sound quality, but I can't give more than one star due to the poor workmanship of this product. I've had it for less than 24 hours and it's already broken. I can't tell if it arrived broken and I didn't notice, or if it was always broken. In both cases, the plastic part of the charger, on which the headset is supposed to rest for charging, is separated from the charger. I've tried putting it back in place but it won't stay in place for more than one charge at a time. When I take the headset out of the charger, it inevitably falls off. Now I went back and read other reviews where other users reported the same problem. I definitely can't say it broke due to overuse (as I've had it for less than 24 hours). I also make sure I didn't slam the headset on the device too hard. It just fell off the second or third time I took the headset off, so I'm wondering if it broke from the start. And there is no free return/exchange on this item at Revain, which means I have to queue at the post office or FedEx store and pay for the return if I send it back. So at this point, my $150 purchase looks like a complete and utter waste. In the 6 years that I have used my old similar design Platronics wireless headset this has never happened. I'm trying to glue this new AT&T charger right now. I have doubts if it will work but I really need a working headset now. I am very disappointed in this product! Surely they could make something that lasted over 24 hours for $150!
