After I foolishly burned an Oxxo thermos at the BBQ (I didn't realize he said it was only good to 450 degrees and only to be used in the should end), I decided to buy this $24 item instead of spending $20 to replace the oxxo probe which still can't be used in a grill. I'm glad I did and the dual sensor system is great. My first experience was grilling two lamb chops that were noticeably different thicknesses. The double probes enabled perfect results. I've found removing the meat about 5-8 degrees lower than most cooking guides recommend to allow the meat to rest for a few minutes and come out perfect. So if your guide says 140 degrees for medium, take the meat off the grill. 132-135 degrees and you should have a perfect steak. Update #2: After about a year of use, the sensors stopped working. Thermpro will send me two new ones free of charge. Excellent customer service.
