Simple, plug and play PoE

Full Disclaimer: I was offered a discount on this product in exchange for an unbiased review (good or bad). While my main network switch can power devices like my Amcrest cameras over ethernet, a simple little switch at the other end of the house won't work. This injector worked great to power a camera connected to this switch without forcing me to run an extra Cat5e cable back to the main switch. Pros: - Simple plug-and-play operation (a data cable connects this injector to an existing switch/router; a power cable connects this device to the wall; a data and PoE cable combines power and data for a connected device) - offers full budget 25W+ power for even the most powerful devices (maybe it goes up to 30W as advertised but I haven't had a device that could draw that much power) - Works with a range of PoE powered devices (tested with camera Amcrest, a PoE powered UniFi hotspot and a Raspberry Pi with PoE hat), all with no problems - BUT see below) Less perfect: - It doesn't seem to be fully 802.3af or 802.3at compliant (at least according to my PoE tester; mind you, despite the discrepancy, I didn't have any power issues with the unit I tested - though I'd deduct half a star for a product that isn't advertised as meeting those standards) Overall a great one Product that is ideal for those who do not need to power multiple PoE devices (which may be better served by a PoE switch than individual injectors) or one with a remote device that needs power PoE.
