Works great that weird thing if you don't want edges!

This worked exactly as expected; My wife wears it comfortably in a ponytail or bun and it fits great. The only downside is that we looked at the extra piece and wondered what the heck it was for. It turns out if you want to take the brim off you can put it on so you still have some padding. All in all, this is great for a helmet for someone with a ponytail.
