Feels a bit like paper but lasts much longer

I hate paper straws because they don't last very long. I hate regular disposable plastic straws because I love sea turtles. I have reusable straws that I take with me to restaurants, but sometimes it's much easier to have a disposable straw. They are amazing. Yes, they're not as smooth as plastic straws, but they're also uncomfortable. And most of the time, you can throw them away without feeling guilty. I used one yesterday and left it in the water for a few hours. The wet part never got soft! Take it, paper straw! He really lasted a long time. Because it's bamboo, it has a bit of flavor. It's not exactly a taste, but it's more than plastic. (Sorry if that doesn't make sense.) It's not uncomfortable, but it's just different than drinking through a plastic straw. I notice it more with clear water. I have a pack of 100 and they're about 9 cents a straw. Bamboo is a type of grass, so it can be very, very replaceable. And they don't end up in the turtle's nose. I still use my reusable plastic and metal straws at home and sometimes outside the house, but they're really good when you're carrying around a dirty straw all day because you have no way of rinsing it out and it's tough . It is great!
