Okay, so I ordered sockets with handlock from a strong backbone. Put all the new front end components on my '99 Ford Ranger and install a solid locking hub assembly as directed. I pulled my car out of the garage to take it for a test drive, drove 1 mile, pulled back into the garage. As I got out of my car I looked down at the wheels and saw that the locking hub on the driver's side was gone so I went to the passenger side and found it was gone too. Tried contacting Rugged Ridge to let them know about their product and left them a voice message to call me back but no response. So if you're looking to buy manual lockout sockets, I strongly recommend not buying the Rugged Ridge brand. It's best to convert it to a solid shaft with a nut so the CV's front axle rotates all the time. I highly recommend taking them off the Ford Explore and it will work. I didn't even get a chance to test my 4WD, I never found the locking hubs after walking a mile either side of the curb. And yes, I installed them correctly as I've been working on Ranger for quite some time. So my rating is two fingers down. If I were given the option to choose zero stars I would choose one because I can't post this if I don't. The processing of this product is very bad.
