Well made and worth it

is a well made and quality item. It's also a one-time purchase item. I'm buying it for the second time just because some fool stole it from my truck. pox them. These locks fit my truck well. I drive and own two versions of the same car. These locks fit a '99 Mazda b3000 single cab 4x4 with torsion bar suspension. They will also fit a '99 Ford Ranger 4x4 with torsion bar suspension. Both cars are almost the same model and style. I've also seen these locks on these sprung cars. THIS IS FOR A 27…

Pros
  • Hub Assembly
Cons
  • Some Errors

Okay, so I ordered sockets with handlock from a strong backbone. Put all the new front end components on my '99 Ford Ranger and install a solid locking hub assembly as directed. I pulled my car out of the garage to take it for a test drive, drove 1 mile, pulled back into the garage. As I got out of my car I looked down at the wheels and saw that the locking hub on the driver's side was gone so I went to the passenger side and found it was gone too. Tried contacting Rugged Ridge to let them know

My 4WD is working again, what more could you ask for?

Well I needed manual locking bushings for my '99 Ford Ranger because the automatic vacuum system couldn't handle a hose leak. (Dryrot?) I had to bypass this to get my 4x4 drive working again and it worked! It was a pain to remove the car hubs, but I made some miniature washers (12 to be exact) using a thin sheet of stainless steel. , and with 2 long mini flathead screwdrivers. I could do it. In hindsight I would use small heavy zip ties. I would trim the ends nice and square and they would work
