These are the best ice cube trays! I've tried several trays over the years and this is the easiest way to get dice out of the tray without squeezing out more than you need. I can literally pop out one cube at a time with just a light press on one side of a single cube, which you can never do with regular ice cube trays. The cubes always come out clean and whole, which is nice. Tray lids are a good idea, but not great. They are difficult to slip off after you pour water into the shells and they freeze. The reason for this is that the lid gets wet when you put it on and move the bowls from the sink to the freezer so they end up freezing solid and difficult to slide off when you want to get ice cubes. My job is to stack the ice cube trays in the freezer and only close the bottom tray. I don't use a lot of ice and the lid keeps the ice from absorbing odors. This also makes them easier to fold. I use the top tray without the lid and when I've used all the ice cream I fill it up and take the lid off the bottom tray and put it on top of that so I keep turning the ice trays upside down. Whether you use them or not, I recommend them to anyone looking for the best ice cube trays out there. I've told friends and family about it and they all fell in love with these original trays.
