Prevents oil from getting into my internal filter
Fits perfectly with my large shop vacuum and with a little cut and glue I installed it on my portable shop vacuum as well. Very open-cell, so does not interfere with the extraction, but protects my more expensive internal filter from oil-coated chips that come from the mill and lathe.
