A 1001 Applications on Finishing Products

These microgrid sanding pads are my (now defunct) secret solution to getting a great finish on wooden materials. After sanding down to 1000 grit with a sanding block I switch to these babes! They're just the right size to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, but they're also thin enough to "feel" the slight curves of the wood, and best of all, no sanding block is needed. Sometimes when sanding, the human hand is the only way to achieve the desired result. Sandpaper (sandcloth?) is on both sides, and the pads themselves are proving to be quite durable. If you come across ANY oils, they pick up dirt easily, but because they're good for wet or dry sanding, I've successfully rinsed them out and used them over and over again. Previously I have used these fine grits for finishing bare wood (dry sanding) between coats of hard oil, urethane, varnish and BLO blends. I've also had success using a coarse grit to clean the plastic of small scratches and even scratched glass headlights. Sure, these sanding pads are a bit pricey, but considering their usage and lifespan, you can't beat them.
