I bought this to expand the LED strip light project in my den. However I found this different from my original LE brand strip light in two important ways, one good, one not so good.The plastic strip (on which the LED’s are mounted) is more rigid than the LE strip. This made it very easy to push into the plastic snap connectors. The LE strip is flimsy and collapses, like trying to push a rope.The adhesive on this strip is not the 3M adhesive, but an "ME” adhesive. It is much thinner and less sticky. I would probably not use this on vertical or down-facing runs (such as on a ceiling), or for drywall or other slightly rough or textured surfaces. Smooth surfaces such as painted metal might be OK but I haven’t tried this.I have used it on horizontal runs and it sticks.meh ok. I put it above the doors and windows facing upwards, the strip is hidden so it won’t look so bad if/when the adhesive fails and the strip lifts away.One more thing I do like about this strip is that the plastic strip itself is white, so it blends in much better when applying to walls. I had also bought another very similar strip that is black.
