Last summer I started cycling to work once or twice a week. Some of the roads I drive on have a lot of rush hour traffic, and after hitting a few cars coming out of the intersections in front of me, I wanted a headlight that was bright enough in daylight for drivers to see me approaching could distance. I have used this lamp several times and I love it. The light is surprisingly bright, even in daylight. For example, when it's in flash mode ("daytime flash"), I can see light hitting stop signs two or three blocks ahead. The light has 8 different settings (3 for day, 4 for day or night and 1 for night) which seems great except I sometimes have a hard time telling which mode I'm in. problematic when riding the bike and either turning off the lights or trying to change modes (e.g. when stopping at a traffic light behind the car or to save battery power). At this point, it's hard to tell if I'm still in the mode I was in before the lights went out. Overall, however, I was very happy with the brightness, multiple lighting options, and load time, and would recommend it to a friend.
