People don't know that with a free license for 4 cameras, it's better than Synology. I use mine with onvif, rtsp and other cameras. If you need help setting it up, email me. But it's faster in processing than the equivalent 2-camera licensed Synology compared to the 4-camera license this device has. Finally, USB supports my external USB DVD drive and you can use it to watch DVDs and other content and more. I checked my Synology, it doesn't support my USB DVD drive. I have both and appreciate the capabilities of this device. I still look into this device with my $35 PoE camera with amazing night vision in very thick darkness.
