Does what it should. I use this in my 2014 Jeep Patriot to house the touchscreen head unit. It fits perfectly on my dashboard, but you can see the left and right side when viewed from an angle and there is enough light in the car between the adapter and the head unit. This is because the front of the device is quite thin and curved. Nobody has ever pointed this out to me, but I tend to notice. I think that's probably common on this car because I've seen other brands for this car and they have the same problem. If only the hole for the radio bezel had a little lip inside. maybe 1/8" would be perfect.
