Review on ECCO S Three Gore TEX Waterproof 12 12 5 by John Patterson

I tried Ecco Bioms years ago and they only caused pain in my legs so I was careful with Ecco. After ordering and returning the (faux) leather versions of GFore, Adidas, Puma, Under Armor and Skechers, I ordered the Ecco S-Three with laces and BOA. I wear men's size 8.5-9 from other brands but ordered my EU size 42 which seems to be more reliable. The S-Three lacing fits perfectly. The outsole is stable and soft, and the leather upper seems to be able to last a few seasons or more. A padded collar and tongue wraps the ankle and foot for a secure fit. The width was slightly wider than other brands, which is good for me. The new Ortholite insoles are terrible; I've had them in my trail runners and they don't last long. I only wore them for 18 holes in very wet conditions. I didn't notice my feet at all and they were dry so I'm happy with them. S-Three BOA fits like other shoes. They were slightly larger, with a firmer sole and less padding around the ankle and tongue. The BOA fits the full length of the shoe, not just the pieces I need which I can do better with laces. Although they looked nice.
