Really good for finishing

I was a bit skeptical about using it on my new car but after a good wash and wax treatment I gave it a try. I tried to protect my front bumper from rock splinters while waiting for the allotted time to put on a transparent bra. You should get two good coats, leaving thick strokes on each corner of what you're painting so you have something to latch on to when you pull it off. When I was at work it sat in the rain for 8 hours and it started bubbling. After taking the car home and drying it in the garage overnight, it seemed to clear up again and stayed trouble free for a few more days. When I finally took it off it came off easily and the color was perfect! The reason for the 4 stars was that even with thick coverage it still left a mark around the edge of any area I had painted over. I had to carefully erase the remaining line as scratching with my fingernail wasn't the best option. I suppose it might have washed out after a few washes as this material dissolves in water but I didn't have time to wash it further. Eventually, this little bottle covers the bumper, rear-view mirrors, and about 18 inches up the hood and front fenders, but that's it after two coats. I don't see a way to use this little bottle more than once, so it's way overpriced for what you get. However, it's a good investment for a road trip, as it's a lot cheaper than repainting a bumper or hood, which can be scratched by rock chips or other debris on the road. Just understand that it won't last forever and you can see it on the car. It looks like a transparent uneven layer of rubber on your polish, so it is not transparent and smooth like a transparent bra and you cannot wash or wax it without coming off.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
