I used these to replace the ones in my 2005 Scion XA rear door. Slightly too much force, but my door definitely opens up and stays open now. I just measured what my door pistons currently min and max at for length and picked these by estimating the force with leverage in mind.I was a little surprised they came with the ball ends and washers, but no nuts. Luckily I had 4 of the exact nut that was needed. Drilled out the doors riveted ones and put them in.They clip in the fittings very easily, but I wish the ends werent plastic as it seems just a little fragile while prying the clips. The customer service was great assuring me that they will warranty them for sure, and I guess it should be fine since the force is always a "push" against the metal piston parts and the clips only really stop a pulling off force. If it was an application where someone may attempt to overextend them I am not sure I would be comfortable with the plastic ends. If they are indeed only plastic inside then someone could easily push something too hard, break them, and now you have a scenario of something heavy falling on someone.Amazing for the money and have a slight feeling that they may be a little more than 100lbs of force. Almost took my whole body weight (160lbs) to compress one. (DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT TAKING OFF THE PLASTIC ENDS)
