I researched several small plug in fans for my sailboat and then bought 3 different models. This fan consistently produced the most air with the least amount of thrust. I have an inverter on my boat and I can see exactly how many amps are coming out of my batteries to run the fan. The 12 volt batteries go through the inverter to get 120 volts. This fan required 1.0 amp (12 volts) to run at high speed and 0.8 amp at low speed. Another fan with *less* air movement drew 1.3 amps at high speeds and 1.0 amps at low speeds. Other fans were worse. Bought 3 of these for use on hot nights on the boat. We can run all 3 overnight and only use 24 amp hours of battery versus 30 amp hours or worse for others.
