Under the triple clamp and near the tire means better protection

I'm very happy with this fender, I think it's a great update. Test conditions: I mainly commute to work on a road with the occasional dirt track. I ride 20-28 miles one way in all weathers. I waited to skim it until I was past both standing puddles and rainstorm conditions. Shift rails 26x1.75. My previous front fender was right on top of the fork and had a mounting system that used compression inside the fork. He never got up properly, tended to sway from side to side. and when I stretched my brake cable again it fell out of position and completely refused to stay where it was supposed to. Its placement high above the crown meant that while it protected me from the heaviest splashes hitting my face, even from puddles it didn't protect my feet from the water from the tires. This one is under the bridge. and not down the aisle. My first thought that this wing would be better was riding down a small stream on the sidewalk - not a single drop hit my feet. Riding in the rain was another nice surprise - the lower position means it protects my feet MUCH better from splashes and doesn't get in my face even in heavy rain. I mean, heavy rain will hit your legs from above anyway, but at least the position of that wing doesn't help! Fender mounts to attach it to the fork - meaning it won't squirm side-to-side while riding. If it proves to be as durable as it is efficient, and works well this winter (I'm snow) I've got a real winner!
