Review on πŸ”§ Johnson Level and Tool 40-6060 Magnetic Digital Level, 6-Inch, Black - 1 Level by David Caldwell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It doesn't seem bad, but there's no intermediate zero key.

which of course means you have no idea what your numbers really are. Horizontal sizing may be good, but vertical sizing can be useless, and there's no other way to get it back other than to go to a local sizing specialist for $100 each! For me it was a very expensive tool. Update 2015-06-01 5:44 PM: -- EXCEPT that the paper manual *had* vertical calibration instructions, although the online instructions were missing them. Strange, but oh well. Still vague calibration instructions and no temporary zero button hence a MINUS star. I've used this device to measure bend angles in metal, so a temporary zero setting like with digital calipers would be a real benefit.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic
