For my husband: Measuring and marking tools

I bought this for my husband and so far he seems happy with it. I don't know anything about it myself, except that he wanted it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor issues

Good level - measuring and marking tools

This is a good level. The calibration function is not intuitive (I deducted a star for that). Better than a spirit level to provide a spirit level or plumb line.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Fast delivery in good condition

Received with proper packaging which will keep the tool in good condition. The delivery is really fast! More than I expected. Very good.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Appearance

Image of 1st gen, you will get 2nd gen

The magnet is strong enough to hold it securely. Shown is the first generation. The current model does not have a zero function like the first generation. While there is no zero - my only complaint.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good concept but difficult to use

Product as advertised and works. The main problem is the LCD. The viewing angle is very narrow and the contrast is not very sharp. Therefore, you have to stand directly in front of the display and have plenty of ambient light to read it. It's great when it's right in front of you at eye level, but if you're trying to work with anything above and below you won't be able to read the display. Also, you better have a flashlight right on it to see something. I don't know how long this will stay in…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

It doesn't seem bad, but there's no intermediate zero key.

which of course means you have no idea what your numbers really are. Horizontal sizing may be good, but vertical sizing can be useless, and there's no other way to get it back other than to go to a local sizing specialist for $100 each! For me it was a very expensive tool. Update 2015-06-01 5:44 PM: -- EXCEPT that the paper manual *had* vertical calibration instructions, although the online instructions were missing them. Strange, but oh well. Still vague calibration instructions and no…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic
